This Hilton is a good location in Downtown because it is walking distance to many of the clubs and bars. The hotel is very clean and the service is great.
a good night's sleep

This Hilton recently put in new mattresses and bed linens, and let me tell you, they're heaven. One of the best night's sleep I've ever had, especially in a hotel room (and I'm an insomniac with a bad back). Mattress was soft yet supportive, linens smooth and elegant, pillows not too overstuffed. I am seriously considering getting the same ones the next time I buy a mattress/linens.
Decor is nice, rich colors but not overpowering. Executive breakfast was not amazing but decent, with excellent service of a caliber usually only found in country clubs or classier cruise ships. Parking is ridiculously priced, of course, as at most hotels. Superb view over the valley. Convenient to pretty much anything you could want downtown.
In the still of the night, you can hear the light rail going by, but I found it soothing, like the ocean or crickets.
Pros: heavenly beds, superb view
Cons: it ain't cheap
It DID'NT happen for me at this Hilton

I am sorry to add this review, however after no valet, and a bellman with "are you gonna ask for help" attitude, I cannot recommend this hotel! The City bar needs to be a little more realistic with the menu prices.
